Friends of Davey and Goliath Gathering - Washington, D.C.
A Friends of Davey and Goliath fundraiser took place on September 15, 2003 at the Wyndham Hotel, located in Washington, D.C. The fundraiser event included a screening of the documentary, "Oh Davey! History of the 'Davey and Goliath' Television Series." We had a full house with 85 in attendance. Our audience included Pastor Dave Waseman and Nikki Stephanopoulos (who bought a "Davey" tee shirt and DVD for her new grandson, George's son), and documentary co-host, Mary McDonough, who charmed everyone. The audience laughed and applauded and loved the documentary. It was a wonderful evening, a tribute to all the fine work everyone has done on this project. Read more about the documentary.

A full house from the Faith Communicators Forum in Washington, D.C. came to the screening of "Oh Davey! History of the 'Davey and Goliath' Television Series."

Eric Shafer, director of the ELCA's Department for Communication and a.k.a. "Davey's Dad" welcomes the crowd at the screening.

Mary McDonough, co-host of the documentary, made a special trip to Washington, D.C. for the screening. She showed her support for the project and encouraged the crowd to support Davey and Goliath by purchasing merchandise. A portion of the proceeds from each sale helps fund Davey and Goliath’s comeback.

Davey and Goliath brings moral and faith-based values
to a new generation of children in lively and engaging ways.
